These are pleasant to the eye as an ornamental item. Fill with oil fragrance, wait half hour while the wick draws up the oil, light the burner until the flame dies a bit then blow out and let it smoke for a bit then cover. The fragrance is quite strong so short spells are best to conserve the oil.
